SUMMARY:History of Medicine Days (HMD)
DESCRIPTION:The 26th annual History of Medicine Days Conference will be a  two-day\, national and international conference held at the University of Calgary on Friday\, March 17th and Saturday\, March 18th\, 2017. \nUndergraduate students from across Canada\, the United States\, and Overseas are invited to submit an abstract for an oral or poster presentation on the history of medicine and health care. \nTopics will cover a wide range\, including the Classics\, the History of Public Health\, Nursing\, Veterinary Medicine\, Human Biology and Neuroscience\, etc. Prizes will be awarded in different categories and all active participants are invited to join us at the Awards Banquet on the last evening of the conference \nKeynote Speaker: Professor Paul Weindling\, Oxford Brookes University\, Oxford\, United Kingdom.

SUMMARY:10th Annual Brain Bee
DESCRIPTION:The Brain Bee is an international competition founded by the Society for Neuroscience. These live Q&A competitions test the neuroscience knowledge of high school students around the world\, and consist of oral\, written and hands-on components.  \nStudents in grades 9 to 12 from Calgary and surrounding area schools are invited to compete in the \nHotchkiss Brain Institute’s 10th Annual Calgary Brain Bee\, to be held Saturday March 18\, 2017 at 10:00 am. \nThe Calgary winner and their parent or guardian will win an all expenses paid trip to the CIHR National Brain Bee at McMaster University in Hamilton\, Ontario in spring 2017. The winner of this competition will represent Canada at the 2017 International Brain Bee Championship in Washington\, D.C.\, USA.
